CLARK — Students in Cristina Faro’s seventh grade mathematics classes at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark have been using their creativity to display their knowledge of the mathematical properties. In pairs, students formed definitions and examples for multiple properties involving addition and multiplication. Once all work was approved by Faro, student began to design and decorate their own “properties.” Students traced outlines of houses and incorporated their definitions and examples onto their property. All students loved the opportunity to create something while still incorporating their mathematical skills.  In the picture above, Joseph Benevento and Christian Zambrana, work on designing their mathematical property.
