PERTH AMBOY – City officials have established two shelter locations for residents at two district schools, which will be opened as needed today. The shelter locations are  the Shull School at 380 Hall Avenue and the McGinnis School at 271 State Street. Pets will be allowed in the shelters, but residents are asked to have them contained or leashed.

In addition,  the Middlesex County Regional Shelter is located at the Woodbridge Community Center  at 600 Main Street, Woodbridge.

Perth Amboy public schools will be closed Monday and Tuesday due to the storm.

All city programs, events and senior activities and transportation have been cancelled. There will be no garbage collection on Monday or Tuesday,   and all residents are advised to remove and secure all garbage receptacles, outdoor furniture, Halloween decorations and any other items that may become airborne due to high winds.
