CLARK — Seventh grade students in Meredith Qualshie and Nicole Drasin’s math class at Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark are creating houses that include the math properties they have been learning about. The students just started a unit on expressions and equations this week and have learned about the commutative, associative and distributive properties so far. Students are encouraged to be creative with how they present the properties inside of the house. Some students created windows and doors that open to show the properties while others just gave their houses a unique theme. They will then add more properties to their house when the class learns about them next week.
