Piscataway Pumpkin Patch, Festival Support Church Mission Projects

PISCATAWAY — Christ United Methodist Church at 485 Hoes Lane in Piscataway will conduct its annual Pumpkin Patch fund-raising effort now through Oct. 31. Additionally, it will host a Pumpkin Festival on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Through Pumpkin Patch, the church sells pumpkins on its front lawn during the weeks leading up to Halloween. The Pumpkin Patch will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The church uses Pumpkin Patch profits to support multiple mission projects. Pumpkin Patch pumpkins are grown in New Mexico on land leased from Navajo Agricultural Products Industry.

The Oct. 20 Pumpkin Festival at the church will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will feature indoor and outdoor games, music and other entertainment, face painting, a costume contest (no scary or evil themes) and parade. Baked goods and lunch will be available for purchase.
