RAHWAY — Lindsey Lerner’s bilingual kindergarten class at Franklin Elementary School in Rahway recently celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month. Each student brought in a flag from their country along with family photos to show their peers. Children spoke about their family and proudly waved their flag. The children also made class book illustrating their diverse culture and background.
Ayleen Celis names the people in her family and happily shows her flag from Peru.
The students’ great work is displayed in school so everyone can celebrate multiculturalism with the class.
