Computerized Accounting Records Class Offered At Union County College

CRANFORD – Computerized tools for the keeping of accounting records are essential to the modern accountant. This non-credit class will teach you how to manage and maintain a chart of accounts, post transactions, maintain A/P and A/R records, create reports and exchange data between programs. You will also learn how to use automated checkbook, bank reconciliation and tools for tracking investments. The software tools for this class include Excel, QuickBooks, and Peachtree. This class starts Oct. 29 and will meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6–9 p.m. The tuition is $249.

Additional Accounting classes offered at the college this fall include QuickBooks 2010, which starts Oct. 29, Introduction to Payroll Accounting, which starts November 3, and the Fundamentals of Taxation, which starts Nov. 27. Tuition for each class is $249.
