CLARK — On Friday, Oct. 12, the Lady Cougars soccer team of Carl H. Kumpf Middle School in Clark traveled to Rutgers Campus in Piscataway to watch a collegiate soccer match between the women’s teams of Rutgers versus Louisville.

Coach Rick Hoos and assistant coach, Nicole Mailloux, organized the event as a means of motivating team camaraderie and showcasing the skills of the Rutgers women as a way of teaching the young team how teams at a higher academic level perform together.

The Lady Cougars were able go down to the locker room to meet and ask questions of the Rutgers women’s team after the game. In addition, they were able to see Carli Lloyd, a Rutgers alumni and player on the US Olympic team, be presented with an award and give a motivational speech to young soccer players and fans.
