CLARK — Ms. Hamilton’s senior students at Arthur L. Johnson High School recently had a visit from Christian Tibok, a representative from Everest College, as part of their college and career unit. Tibok conducted a very engaging and interactive presentation about college and career readiness. The students were each provided with an iPod to use in conjunction with the presentation. While Tibok asked questions about professionalism and etiquette, the students were instructed to use the iPods to wirelessly respond using a survey-style model. As the students would complete each question, pie charts and discussion topics would be projected onto the board. At the culmination of the presentation, Tibok showed a brief video clip about what Everest College has to offer to students interested in several career options such as massage therapy, medical assisting, and dental assisting. In the picture above, Christopher Purcell, Zak Hijazi, and Marc Avena are interactively participating in the presentation by completing a survey regarding college interview etiquette.
