TRENTON – Plans by an Assembly panel to consider legislation to implement an important aspect of the federal health care reform law by creating a state health insurance exchange highlight Thursday’s Assembly committee agendas.

Highlights include:
- A bill (A-3186) to implement essential aspects of national health care reform by implementing the New Jersey Health Benefit Exchange Act will be heard at 10 a.m. by the Assembly health panel.
- A bill (A-2297) to establish a loan redemption program for teachers employed in schools in need of improvement will be heard at 10 a.m. by the Assembly Higher Education Committee.
- Legislation to require public colleges and universities to collect and report employment data for graduates will be heard at 10 a.m. by the Assembly Higher Education Committee.
- A measure to require water companies to notify customers of requests to increase rates will be heard at 2 p.m. by the Assembly Telecommunications and Utilities Committee.
