ELIZABETH — The Benedictine Academy Parents Association held a “Welcome Back Cookout” at the school in Elizabeth on Saturday, Sept. 29. Many new and returning school families and friends attended and enjoyed a great afternoon, complemented by plenty of burgers, hot dogs, corn, plus delicious homemade entrees, salads and desserts prepared for the event. A tuition raffle and a gift basket raffle were held. Students from the all-female Catholic college prep high school supervised entertainment for children who attended.

The Palma family of Union, along with several of the Benedictine Sisters of Elizabeth, appreciated the camaraderie and homemade treats offered at Benedictine Academy’s annual “Welcome Back Cookout” on Sept. 29. Lasagna, Spanish Rice with seafood, various tossed salads, burgers, hot dogs and chicken, were only some of the many foods prepared for the event, plus amazing desserts.

The cookout is sponsored annually by the Academy’s Parent Association to welcome all families at the start of the new school year.
