JAMESBURG – State Sen. Barbara Buono, D-Middlesex, was recognized Wednesday by the New Jersey Association for Justice for her commitment to strengthening laws aimed at protecting the public good when presented with their Friend of Civil Justice Award.
“I am proud to stand with the people of New Jersey in fighting for equal rights and justice under the law,” said Buono. “New Jersey citizens from all walks of life benefit from strong laws aimed at making homes and workplaces safer, cleaning our environment and providing quality health care.”
“It is truly an honor to be recognized by the New Jersey Association for Justice, whose members work every day to protect the best interests of New Jersey’s citizens and make our state a more just place to live and raise a family,” added Buono.
The Friend of Civil Justice Award was presented at the New Jersey Association for Justice’s 5th Annual Legislative Luncheon at the Crowne Plaza in Jamesburg. Buono joined Assembly Speaker Sheila Oliver as well as Senator Linda Greenstein and Assemblymembers Dan Benson, Chris Brown, John Burzichelli, Wayne DeAngelo, Pamela Lampitt, Nancy Muñoz, Gabriela Mosquera, Troy Singleton and Grace Spencer in being honored by the NJ Association for Justice.
