Union Catholic Will Host 2nd Annual Race To The Gold

SCOTCH PLAINS—On Saturday, Oct. 20, Union Catholic High School will be hosting its second annual “Race to the Gold” 5K run. This year, the event is being showcased as one of the school’s 50 events to the 50th Anniversary, and proceeds will benefit Union Catholic’s athletic programs.

Registration for the event begins at 7:30 a.m. The race will begin at 9 a.m. and includes a USATF Certified loop course through Scotch Plains streets, ending on Union Catholic’s new turf track and field complex. Registration is $20 if received by Oct. 1 and $25 after Oct. 1 and on the day of the race.

Awards will be given to the Top Male and Top Female 5K Overall, Top 3 Male and Female winners per age group (10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), as well as UC Alumni Decade Awards.
