WOODBRIDGE-Julian’s Restaurant and Cocktal Bar on Pearl St., Lomonico’s Tavern on Second St. Sarg’s Old Corral Bar and Grill on Main St.had American and Chinese food. Main Tavern on Main St.with Mike Almasi as the proprietor and Charlie’s Tavern on New and Williams Sts. with Lewis Tomshik as the proprietor.

Grandma’s Log Cabin on St. George Ave. Fulton Inn; Fulton St., Blue Bar was on Fulton and New Sts, and Little Joe’s Bar & Grill on Second St. John’s Tavern was on Fulton St. with John Varshan as the proprietor. Molnar’s Tavern was on New and Williams Sts. with Mary Molnar as the proprietor. College Inn was on Main St. They served Trommers Whie Label and R&H Premium beer.

Other bars that were around sections of Woodbridge were: Mayfield Bar & Grill on Rahway Ave. Silver Palms was on St. George Ave, at Reading R.R. Crossing and had dining and dancing, serving Hungarian food. Stanley’s Gallery was on Route 1, Mayfair was on Rahway Ave. and Jim’s Bar at White Birch Inn on Route 25.


Other past businesses with no exact locations: Kut-A-Kurl, Treat Shop and Weiss Kosher Pantry held their Grand Opening in March of 1951, all on Rahway Ave.
