CLARK–Students in Olivia Gerlitz’s fifth grade class at Valley Road School in Clark utilize SMARTboard© technology in the classroom as they learn the geography of the original thirteen American colonies. Using an interactive map, students had the opportunity to come to the board and drag the colony name to the appropriate place on the map. “When using the SMARTboard, students are engaged and eager to participate,” said Gerlitz. The interactive whiteboard is used every day, among all different subjects. In the picture above Katie Hannah uses the SMARTboard to identify the colony of Delaware.
