BETHPAGE, N.Y.— Just days after Piscataway high school football star Nadir Barnwell revealed to MSG Varsity that he has verbally committed to attend Rutgers University next fall, the network announced that it will feature Barnwell’s high school team on the Oct. 5 broadcast of Friday Night Football.

Played under the lights at Piscataway High School, this game marks the fifth week of this season’s Friday Night Football, which airs at 7 p.m. every Friday night this fall on MSG Varsity, Optimum TV Channel 14. The game will also be available via live webcast on www.msgvarsity.com/livecast.

“This should be an exciting game,” said Michael Lardner, executive producer and senior vice president, MSG Varsity, “South Brunswick and Piscataway are both off to a great start this season, and each team has tremendous athletes on their rosters.”

The team from MSG Varsity announcing the Oct. 5 broadcast of Friday Night Football will include Steve Levy, former Don Bosco Prep and Cal Berkeley quarterback, and Jimmy Cavallo, MSG Varsity football analyst. Chad Cutler will be providing all the action directly from the sideline.
