NEWARK—Integrity House, a nationally recognized substance abuse rehabilitation center with locations in Newark and Secaucus, will host its annual Newark Corporate 5-K Run on the streets of downtown Newark at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 3 to help raise funds for their community outreach programs and programming for women. The run is sponsored by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, PSE&G and WB Mason.

The Newark Corporate 5-K Run brings awareness to the scope of programs and services provided by Integrity House. Over one thousand runners are expected to participate in the event. Runners can sign up in corporate teams or individually and will represent corporations such as Prudential, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, PSE&G, W.B. Mason, Anheuser-Busch, and Edison Properties.

“We are lucky to have such great support and generosity from community and business leaders every year,” said Robert J. Budsock, CEO of Integrity House. “The Annual Newark Corporate Run allows us to raise awareness of the disease that is addiction and raise funds to provide the services required to helping those who are affected by the impact of this disease.”

Among the highlights of the mid-day run is a performance by famous hip-hop artists Sugar Hill Gang. The New Jersey natives are familiar with the success of Integrity House and are donating their time for a special performance at the event. This is the first time the Corporate Run has featured a live musical performance by a well-known group.

Groups and individuals may register for the Newark Corporate Run by visiting the Integrity House website for an application at www.integrityhouse.org.
