Authorities Investigating Elizabeth Man’s Killing

ELIZABETH — The Union County Homicide Task Force is investigating the death of a 31-year-old Elizabeth man who was fatally shot last night at a Pine Street address.

Zaair R. Tuck was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to a local hospital, officials said. His death is the 12th this year in the City of Elizabeth and the 22nd recorded in Union County, according to Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.

Officers were called to an address on the 100 block of Pine Street at approximately 10:11 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24 to investigate reports of shots fired, according to Romankow. They discovered Tuck suffering from a gunshot wound.
