ELIZABETH — The Executive Committee of the Benedictine Academy (Elizabeth) Parents Association (BAPA), was commissioned at a recent “Back to School Night” held at the all-female Catholic college prep secondary school on Sept. 13. The new officers, elected last spring to serve for the 2012-13 academic year, were commissioned by Academy President Sister Germaine Fritz, OSB. The officers pledged to be loyal to the Parents Association by-laws and accept the responsibility of working for the good of Benedictine Academy.

The Parents Association is very active at the Academy, sponsoring events and raising funds to help enhance academic programs and student activities.
During 2011-12,the Association sponsored a successful Christmas basketball tournament; campus family “Welcome Back Cookout”; pasta supper; and, held several meetings featuring guest speakers focusing on topics of interest to families at the Academy.
