SCOTCH PLAINS – Union Catholic High School welcomed 41 new students at the start of this school year. Members of the Student Council welcomed students who have transferred from other schools or recently moved to the area at a special new students breakfast during homeroom on Friday, Sept. 14.

Moderator Kim Leegan introduced members of the Student Council Board, having given them the special task of “looking out” for new students around the building—making them feel welcome and a part of the Union Catholic Community. Following the introductions were a light breakfast and an encouragement to students to attend the Student Council-sponsored events in order to become more acclimated.
