Police Recover Rifles, Motorcycle Stolen From Perth Amboy Garage

PERTH AMBOY – On Tuesday, police recovered two rifles, ammunition, a motorcycle and helmet that had been reported stolen from a garage on the 400 block of Grove Street the day before. They also arrested a 40-year-old city man and charged him with receiving stolen property.

Judge George Boyd set Enrique Nobles Jr.’s bail at $75,000 with no 10 percent option.

Police were dispatched to Grove Street at 5:42 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, to investigate a reported burglary. Items taken from a garage included a 1) 1991 Suzuki Katana motorcycle, a Marlin Model 60, .22 caliber long rifle with scope, a Stoeger Condor shotgun a HCI Model 80G motorcycle helmet, two 12ct. cases of Calem port wine (24 bottles) and a bag of ammunition.

On Tuesday, Sept. 11, after a follow up investigation led by Detective Jessica DeJesus, members of the Perth Amboy Police Detective Bureau recovered all the items except the case of port wine.

The charge against Nobles is merely an accusation; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
