CLARK — Students in Christine Cemelli’s fourth grade class at Valley Road School in Clark show off the work they did during the school year’s first Reader’s Workshop. After students read the literary selection “Harold and the Purple Crayon,’ they used black paper and purple chalk to retell the story. Fourth graders explored their own creativity and imagination by drawing picture summaries and writing about where their imagination takes them. In the picture above Jason Szymczak, Isabella Pimento, Marisa Venturella, Adrian Skiba, and Thano Kofos display their creative drawings. (Photo courtesy of Clark Public Schools)
