SOMERVILLE – A 28-year-old Plainfield man was arrested in Somerville Monday after he allegedly sold an undercover detective 400 Viagra pills with an estimated street value of $8,000.

Breli Cepeda-Pichardo was charged with second-degree distribution of CDS, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano and Somerville Borough Chief of Police Dennis Manning. Cepeda-Pichardo was taken to Somerset County Jail and Judge Fred Kumpf at set bail at $20,000.

An undercover detective assigned to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Organized Crime and Narcotic’s Task Force met with Cepeda-Pichardo near a convenience store on Main Street in Somerville at approximately 4 p.m. on Sept. 10. Task force detectives arrested Cepeda-Pichardo after the alleged drug transaction was completed.

The charge against Cepeda-Pichardo is merely an accusation; he is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
