UNION – The YM-YWHA of Union County will continue its Lunch and Learn series on Sunday, Sept. 23, as Dr. Gilbert Kahn will discuss “Jews and the Election: or who is really best for the Jews and does it really matter?”
Dr. Kahn is a professor of political science at Kean University. He was a consultant to the Council for the Rescue of Syrian Jews and led lobbying efforts to rescue Syrian Jews. He is also a former consultant to the domestic affairs department of Hadassah and a political consultant to the Synagogue of America. Dr. Kahn is a frequent contributor to the New Jersey Jewish News.
The Lunch and Learn program will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the YM-YWHA, 501 Green Lane, Union. The cost is $5 for J.O.Y. members, $7 for Y members and $10 for guests. A dairy lunch with salads, fruit and dessert is included. For reservations, call Susan at 1-908-8112 ext. 34.
