Encore Event Center At iPlay America Upcoming Concert Series

FREEHOLD – Encore Event Center at iPlay America will host a variety of concerts and entertainment events over the next few months, with a variety of artists including country, pop and teen stars.

This Saturday, Sept. 8, former contestant of NBC’s “The Voice,” Hailey Steele, will perform a free concert on City Square located inside iPlay America. At only 22 years old, Steele has opened for many country artists including Blake Shelton, Loretta Lynn, Emerson Drive, Sugarland and Sara Evans.

On Saturday, Sept. 15, Casey James, country music heartthrob and third-place finalist from the ninth season of American Idol, will perform at Encore. Since his American Idol debut in 2010, James has signed with Sony Music Nashville, released his first song in 2011 and his first album this past March.

Mac Powell from Third Day visits Encore on Saturday, Sept. 29. A Georgia native, Mac Powell has spent nearly two decades as the lead singer of the platinum-selling Southern rock-infused Christian band “Third Day”. Powell released his first country track June Bug on Twitter, and made his CMA Fest debut with a 30-minute set at the Hard Rock Café stage.

Also on Saturday, Sept. 29th, teen star Zendaya Coleman plans to “shake it up” at iPlay America. Coleman is not only a dancer and singer but currently stars on the Disney Channel sitcom “Shake It Up” as Raquel “Rocky” Blue. Coleman will be signing autographs and meeting all her fans at iPlay America. In addition to her special appearance, twenty lucky fans will be chosen to join Coleman at a private VIP lunch. Cartel invades Encore on Sunday, Oct. 7 with its brand of music. Cartel is an American pop punk band from Conyers, Georgia that formed in 2003. The band is best known for their single “Honestly”, featured on their 2005 debut album Chroma, and for their 2007 appearance on MTV’s Band in a Bubble.

On Nov. 17, the BSTREETBAND will perform with License to Chill. The BSTREETBAND has been saluting “The Boss” for over thirty years and has become the longest running tribute band in the world as well as the #1 tribute band to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

And finally, on Dec. 7 and Jan. 26, Freehold’s very own, the Nerds will be at the Encore Event Center. The Nerds have completely dominated the club, college, corporate, fair and festival markets with their 200 plus performances each year.

Not only are we a premier indoor theme park, but also a top entertainment venue,” said iPlay America General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Gary Foley. “Encore has hosted some of the area’s top comedians with Joe Piscopo and Uncle Floyd and we also have some great concerts and appearances scheduled in the coming months.”
