UNION — The Union Public Library will screen a series of classic films beginning Tuesday, Sept. 4, and continuing through Sept. 25. The films will be shown on Tuesdays commencing at 2 p.m. Admission to the programs is free.
The following movies comprise the series:
- Footnote (2011) Israeli film with English subtitles directed by Joseph Cedar and starring Lior Ashkenazi – Sept. 4
- Million Dollar Legs (1932) starring W.C. Fields and Jack Oakie – Sept. 11
- Christmas in July (1940) – starring Dick Powell and Ellen Drew; written and directed by Preston Sturges – Sept. 18
- Split Second (1953) starring Stephen McNally and Alexis Smith; directed by Dick Powell – Sept. 25
