UNION — Elyse Drucker, program coordinator of the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) of Union County will present a free presentation offering help to Medicare beneficiaries who need assistance with their health insurance at the Union Public Library on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 p.m.

Drucker’s presentation helps to “demystify” all the Medicare options and is intended for adults who are new or are approaching eligibility, as well as adult children of beneficiaries. Some of the topics to be discussed include: selecting the plans that best suit your needs (e.g., traditional Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Drug Plans, Medigap Plans); making changes to your current coverage, whether due to changes in health finance, social situation, or because you never had enough information to make the best choice when you enrolled; resolving questions about claims for services received; enrolling onto Medicare Savings Plans; understanding the preventive services that Medicare now covers free of cost; and understanding beneficiary rights under Medicare.

The public is invited to this free program but seating is limited.

The Union Public Library is located at 1980 Morris Avenue. For seating reservations, contact the reference department at 1-908-851-5452.
