NEWARK—Children’s Hospital of New Jersey (CHoNJ), located at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, was the recent recipient of 100 plush teddy bears, all donated by United Airlines. On July 25, representatives from United visited CHoNJ and presented the furry gifts, as well as passport activity booklets for young patients.

“The team from United Airlines handed bears at the bedside on pediatric units A5 and C5 to cheer up the children, and brought smiles to many faces,” says Anne Reilly, Director of Child Life at CHoNJ. The bears were distributed to Pediatric Same Day Surgery and the Pediatric Emergency Department as well.

In attendance from United Airlines were the following employees: Crystal Robinson, Lourdes Seigler, Shane Silva and Gavin Darraugh.
