MIDDLESEX COUNTY — Jewish Family and Vocational Service (JFVS) Young Leadership Family Division is holding an apple picking event on Sunday, Sept. 9, from 10 a.m.-noon at Von Thun Farms, 519 Ridge Road, Monmouth Junction, off of Route 130.
Admission is free and includes hayrides, fun with farm animals, and Rosh Hashanah card making stations. Attendees are invited to pick their own apples at a special discounted rate and are encouraged to donate some of the “fruits” of their labor to JFVS to be distributed along with the Rosh Hashanah cards via JFVS’ Kosher Food Pantry, Kosher Meals on Wheels Program, and Senior Adult Socialization Programs.
