ROSELLE – The 8th annual Play Ball for Miracles charity softball tournament will be played on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Warinanco Park on the border of Roselle and Elizabeth, beginning at 9 a.m.

Originally scheduled for May, the tournament was postponed due to rain. Men’s and Co-Ed teams are still being accepted, with a registration fee of $250 per team. There is a three-game guarantee, and the tournament will be played according to ASA rules. Co-Ed teams only require three women.

Sparkee, the mascot for the Somerset Patriots professional baseball team, will be on hand to entertain spectators. There will also be a raffle and the Ultimate Game Truck is coming.

All proceeds benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital through Children’s Miracle Network. For more information, visit http://www.leaguelineup.com/playball4miracles
