Lakewood BlueClaws Unveil 2013 Schedule

LAKEWOOD – Highlighted by the 2013 South Atlantic League All-Star Game, the BlueClaws have unveiled their full 2013 schedule. The All-Star Game, presented by Community and Kimball Medical Centers, OceanFirst Bank, and Shore Point Distributing Company, takes place at FirstEnergy Park on June 18, while Opening Day is April 4 when Lakewood hosts Kannapolis.

The BlueClaws will open the season at home, on April 4th against Kannapolis and finish the season at home, on September 2nd against Greensboro.

“With the All-Star Game coming to Lakewood, 2013 is poised to be a magnificent season,” said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. “We’re excited to unveil our 2013 schedule, and plans are already in the works to make it very special for our fans.”

The BlueClaws will also welcome in affiliates of the Mets, Yankees, and Red Sox. Savannah, Mets affiliate, will be in Lakewood for four games from April 18 – 21. Charleston, Yankees affiliate, will be in Lakewood for three games from May 1 – 3. Finally, Greenville, Red Sox affiliate, comes to Lakewood for four games from July 25 – 28.

There are 11 Friday night games, which will all have post-game fireworks, thanks to Toyota/Scion World of Lakewood, plus 10 66MVP Thirsty Thursdays, with dollar beer and soda, one of which is Opening Day. The 2013 schedule also includes 20 ShopRite Kids Eat Free games, 11 Sundays and 9 Mondays.

Season tickets and mini plans for 2013 are now on sale in person at the BlueClaws executive offices and on the phone by calling 1-732-901-7000.

Anyone that orders their ticket package now can receive tickets to the 2013 SAL All-Star Game at their package rate and those that order by Sept. 8 will receive tickets to the June 17 Celebrity Hitting Challenge as a gift.

All BlueClaws season tickets and mini plans come with a “Flexible Exchange Policy,” so if fans have tickets to a game that they cannot attend, the tickets can be exchanged for a different game provided they return the original tickets at least 24 hours in advance of the game.

Game times and promotions will be announced at a later date.
