Oktoberfest • Aug. 11 & 12 • The Deutscher Club Of Clark, 787 Featherbed Lane, Clark, will hold an Oktoberfest celebration. Bernie’s Orchestra will provide live music from 6-10 p.m. on Saturday, and The Adlers will play from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday. Donation: $5 per person each day. Children under 12 free. Concert • Aug. 12 at 1 p.m. – Celebrate the 50th anniversary of Plays in the Park with a day of free family fun, capped off by a concert performance by Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Sebastian. The Broadway Pops Orchestra will play from 1:30-3 p.m., StarFish! Will play rock & roll for kids from 3:45-4:45 and the main concert will begin at 6 p.m. The event will be held at Roosevelt Park, Parsonage Rd., Edison. In case of rain, Sebastian will play at Middlesex County College.

Concerts By The Bay • Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. – Perth Amboy’s free Concerts By The Bay series continues with Music from Lerner & Loewe’s “Gigi” and “My Fair Lady” at Bayview Park on Water St., at the foot of Market St. In the event of rain or excessive heat, the concert will be held at the McGinnis School on State St.


Blood Drive • Aug. 13 from noon – 6 p.m. – Burger King, 669 Spring St., Elizabeth, will host a blood drive in conjunction with New Jersey Blood Services. Donors must be 17, or 16 with parental permission, weigh at least 110 lbs., and present photo or signed ID. Donors over 75 can keep donating with a note from their doctor. First time donors must know their Social Security number. Info: 1-800-933-2566.
