RAHWAY-In the 1940s on Main Street, there was Jack & Jill Kiddie Shop, Jay-Sun; Venetian blinds and Schwartz Shoes.

Spick & Span Kennels was on Inman Avenue and Joseph Kump sold the best smoking pipes on Leesville and Woodbin Avenue. There was also Rahway Music Shop.

In the 1950s, E. Link on Lake Avenue had Jersey turkeys live or dressed for sale at 12 to 30 pounds, Fredric Your Hairdresser was on Elm Avenue, Krasner’s Gift Store on Main Street and Rudy’s Sporting Goods on Monroe Street.

In the 1960s, on Cherry Street, was The Sewing Kit and Rahway Book and Gift Shop. Mary Donna’s was on East Cherry Street, Rahway Fashion Fabrics was on Main Street and Funcycles was on Route 1.

Foursome Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge was once on St. Georges Avenue and there was also Gee’s Luncheonette.
