Three NJ Players Win $1 Million Each Wednesday
TRENTON – Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $253 million.
Although no one matched all five numbers and the red Powerball on Wednesday to win the game’s top prize, three New Jersey players became millionaires. The winning $1 million tickets were sold at 7-11 #10993 (S) in Northfield, Shop Rite in Parlin and El Cibao Grocery in Paterson.
Six New Jersey Lottery players won the Powerball $10,000 third prize; one of those tickets was purchased with the Power Play option, multiplying the jackpot into $40,000. The $40,000 winning ticket was sold at Walter’s Deli & Liquor in Kearny. The other winning tickets worth $10,000 each were sold at Dollar Mart in Willingboro, Kaival Mini Store in Nutley, Hess Express #30294, in Deptford, Lackawanna Liquors in Hoboken and S D K Traders Inc. in Lake Hiawatha.
In addition to the Garden State ‘s second and third prize winners, 72,248 other New Jersey players took home $426,612 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200, according to NJ Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Aug. 8 drawing were: 03, 07, 11, 15, and 28. The Red Power Ball number was 12.
