RAHWAY – The Union County Homicide Task Force has arrested a 22-year-old Roselle man and charged him with the July 7 stabbing death of a Rahway teenager, Union County First Assistant Prosecutor Albert Cernadas, Jr. announced.
Victor Anderson was arrested around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Task Force, Rahway Police Department and Roselle Police Department. He is charged with murder and weapon complaints in the death of Jose Pacheco-Holley, 17, of Maple Terrace in Rahway.
According to the investigation, police were called to Donald Avenue in Rahway around 12:30 a.m. on July 7 on reports of a large fight in progress. During the melee, Pacheco-Holley was stabbed, said Cernadas. He was taken to Rahway Hospital where he was pronounced a short time later, said Cernadas.
The case was investigated by Det. Janet Lopez of the Homicide Task Force and Rahway Det. Jonathan Tilton. Judge Joseph Donohue set Anderson’s bail at $750,000.
These criminal charges are mere accusations. Anderson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
