SPRINGFIELD — The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library will hold its annual Book Sale from Aug. 9-12, 2012 at the library, 66 Mountain Avenue.

Donations of clean, good condition hard and paperback books, DVDs, and educational toys may be brought to the library in small to medium size boxes from July 23 – Aug. 8. Call 1-973-376-4930 ex 221 to arrange to bring large donations. No condensed books, textbooks, or magazines will be accepted. Jewelry donations are also accepted all year long and there will be a small display of costume jewelry for sale. A full jewelry sale will be held Oct. 12-14.

There will be a preview book sale for Friends members on Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. – noon. Memberships will be accepted on site. The public sale will be Aug. 9 from noon-8 p.m., Aug. 10 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Aug. 11 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and it will end on Sunday, Aug. 12 from noon-4 p.m. with a bag sale. Each filled bag will cost $5 and the Friends will provide the bags.
