CRANFORD—The Friends of the Cranford Public Library will sponsor “I Took the Shot . . . Now What?” on Monday, July 9, at 7 p.m. in the Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Ave. The program will be presented by noted New Jersey photographer Walter Choroszewski.
Choroszewski will bring his expertise, humor, and straight-talk perspective to an informal and fun introductory class advising on the next steps to take after you have taken your digital photos. He will help you develop a digital workflow and photo management plan. He will also compare and demonstrate some popular photo editing software, with tips and tricks for emailing digital photos and making prints.
Choroszewki’s first major assignment as a photographer came in 1980 when he was commissioned by a book publisher to do a photo essay on New Jersey. New Jersey, A Scenic Discovery was published in 1981 and established his photographic identity and lifelong link to the Garden State. He was the primary photographer of the New Jersey state tourism campaigns in the 1980s and 1990s, and he continues to supply the state with photos. In 1985, Choroszewski started Aesthetic Press, which specializes in publishing regional books and calendars. He has photographed and produced 17 photographic books and numerous wall calendars. Choroszewski is also an award-winning graphic designer. This marks his second visit to Cranford, where he presented a program called “Getting to Know Your Digital Camera” in April. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
