NEW BRUNSWICK—This August, State Theatre presents a variety of concerts. Kicking off the month, Classic Albums Live takes Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon (Aug. 4) to create the ultimate experience for true classic rock lovers.

The classics keep rolling in when Classic Albums Live performs The Eagles’ Hotel California (Aug. 10). The next day, The Celtic Tenors proudly represent Ireland with their fresh take on traditional Celtic, classical, and popular works (Aug. 11).

Rock band Jane’s Addiction make a stop on their “Theatre of the Escapists” tour to highlight songs from their newest album, The Great Escape Artists, as well as some of their greatest hits (Aug. 12). Then on Aug. 24, what better way to come together for the end the month than with Classic Albums Live: The Beatles’ Abbey Road, one of the greatest albums of all time.

Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd

This Pink Floyd concert experience features hits from Pink Floyd’s album Dark Side of the Moon including “Money” and “In Time.” In addition to the note for note recreation of the album, Classic Albums Live will also present a second half highlighting Pink Floyd’s greatest hits. The Dark Side of the Moon was an immediate success when it was released in 1973, topping the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart for one week. It subsequently remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history. With an estimated 50 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd’s most commercially successful album and one of the best-selling albums worldwide. Tickets range from $25-45.

Hotel California, The Eagles

This Eagles concert experience features hits from the Eagle’s album Hotel California including “Life in the Fast Lane,” “Hotel California,” and “New Kid in Town.” In addition to the note for note recreation of the album, Classic Albums Live will also present a second half highlighting the Eagle’s greatest hits. Hotel California is ranked #37 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Tickets range from $25-45.

Jane’s Addiction turn up the heat for the third leg of their North American “Theatre of the Escapists” tour. Opening for Jane’s Addiction will be Band of Skulls. The immersive theatrical experience of the “Theatre of the Escapists” carnival—described by the Dallas Morning News as “a sanctuary for freaks and fetishes”—will highlight material from their acclaimed album The Great Escape Artist (Capitol Records) plus classic songs that have not been played in more than 20 years, such as “Classic Girl” and “I Would for You.” Tickets range from $49.50-69.50.

This Beatles concert experience features hits from the Beatles’ album Abbey Road including “Come Together,” “Something,” “Here Comes the Sun,” and “Octopus’s Garden.” In addition to the note for note recreation of the album, Classic Albums Live will also present a second half highlighting some of the Beatles’ greatest hits. Tickets range from $25-45.
