Westfield Community Players Announce Auditions For Upcoming Show

WESTFIELD — Auditions for the Westfield Community Players’ production of “The Fox on the Fairway”, the comedy-farce by Ken Ludwig, will be held on July 17 and July 19 from 7:30-10 p.m. The show will be directed by John Correll and produced by Sally Brown.

Character requisites [3 men, 3 women]:

  • Justin – About 25 Years Old, Good Looking, Offbeat, Sweet, Anxious, a Bundle of Nerves with Unruly Hair (A lot of physical comedy) Justin & Louise get VERY affectionate with each other
  • Louise – About 23 Years Old, Beautiful, Leggy, Goodnatured and a little Ditzy “She’s in her own world which is very innocent and wonderful to visit.” Louise & Justin get VERY affectionate with each other
  • Bingham – 40s, tough, hard headed, Napoleonic, but, somehow, likable
  • Pamela – About 39, Beautiful, very Sophisticated, very at home with a Martini (or whatever) in her hand
  • Dickie – 40s, a Bounder, a Snake-in-the-Grass, a Variant of his Name
  • Muriel – 40s a Large Harridan, Bingham’s Wife, he calls her “Lady Voldemort, She of Darkness”

All actors must have good comic timing and the ability to perform physical comedy.

Rehearsals are scheduled to begin the week of Aug. 12 or Aug. 19. Production dates are: Oct. 6, 13, 19 & 20, 2012 at 8 p.m.; Oct. 14 Matinee at 3 p.m.
