ELIZABETH — Daniela “Dany” Ortega of Elizabeth, winner of Trinitas Regional Medical Center’s 2012 Teen Scholarship, accepts her award from Gary S. Dany, who volunteered nearly 300 hours in the last two years at Trinitas serving in various patients care units and the Emergency Room, will undertake a double major in biological sciences and psychology at Rutgers in September. A past participant in the Trinitas Nursing Camp, Daniela has distinguished herself at the Elizabeth Academy of Allied Sciences with perfect attendance, honors as Student of the Month and membership on the Academy’s Honor Roll. In addition to her scholarship from Trinitas, Dany was the first Trinitas winner of a scholarship from the New Jersey Association of Hospital Volunteer Resource Professionals and a winner of a Community Scholarship from BP.
