Union Library Announces July Children’s Programs

UNION — The Children’s Department of the Union Public Library has scheduled the following programs at the Main Library during the month of July:

The Preschool Storytime and Craft program for preschoolers and their caregivers will be held on Mondays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 11 a.m. No registration required.

Come in your pajamas for songs, stories and games at our Bedtime Storytime to be held on Mondays, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 7 p.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Magician Brian Richards will entertain and astound on Tuesday, July 3, at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Circus Day Party and Craft Program is coming to the Library on Thursday, July 5th at 11:00am. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Come to the “Dream Big – Read” Film Festival on Fridays, July 6, 13, 20 and 27. All films will be shown at 11 a.m. The film, “Beauty and the Beast” will be show on July 6; “Dumbo” will be shown on July 13; “Charlotte’s Web” will be shown on July 20; and the “Emperor’s New Groove” will be shown on July 27. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Pretend to be pirates at the Pirates Storytime and Craft Program on Tuesday, July 10 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Come and make a “Carousel” at our School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 11 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

When Doug the dog hears of a better place to live he can’t pass up the opportunity to find it. Join us as we learn about everyday science by telling this tale of animal adventure using smoke rings, disappearing water, flying eggs and sound effects directly from the “Jungle of Jersey” itself. Piccirillo Sciencetelling will use science experiments to tell us the tale of “The Jungle of Jersey” on Thursday, July 12 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

“Carnival Day at the Library” will include a variety of games on Tuesday, July 17, at 11 a.m. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.

Make a “Superhero Costume” at our School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 18, at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

Bill Ponder is the King’s Falconer at Medieval Times. Bill will present a variety of hawks and falcons, speak about birds of prey, and share how and why various raptors are used in the sport of falconry and how they are trained. This program will be held on Thursday, July 19 at 11 a.m. This program is for children of all ages. No registration required.

The “Eyes of the Wild” Animal Show will appear at the library on Tuesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to the show. No registration required.

Come and make a “unicorn” at the School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, July 25 at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

A T-Shirt Decorating Workshop will be held on Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. Children must bring their own t-shirts. This program is for children of all ages and their caregivers. No registration required.

A “Western Days” Book Party is planned for Tuesday, July 31 at 11 a.m. This program is for children of all ages. No registration required.
