One choice can change many lives... Faith or Fate by John Ruggiero

CLARK — Students in Jackie Grigoli’s third grade class at Valley Road School in Clark learned the significance and history of Flag Day. The third graders learned about Betsy Ross and what each color and pattern symbolized on the American Flag from 1776 to today. As a follow up activity, students were asked to create their own flag and label what each color and drawing on their flag symbolized. Popular symbol meanings the class used were unity, power, freedom, bravery, and courage. In the photograph above, the third graders pose for a group picture with their flag creations.
