Kelly Miller Circus Arrives In Carteret

CARTERET — Mayor Dan Reiman has announced that the Charity Trust Fund will welcome the Kelly Miller Circus to Civic Center Park on June 15 and 16 for the exhibition of its 2012 performances. Shows will begin Friday, June 15, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Saturday, June 16, at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

This year’s “old style” circus will present many new acts and entertainers to amaze and amuse guests with elephants, horses, and a cast of international circus stars under a beautiful circus big top.

“This is a fresh new attraction that will entertain residents of all ages,” Reiman said, “while contributing to our Charity Trust Fund and the many programs and services that it benefits.”

Tickets may be purchased at the event for $15 per adult and $7 per child ages 2-11.

The Kelly Miller Circus, founded during the Great Depression, is marking another milestone this year as it celebrates its 74th Anniversary. Founded in 1938 by Obert Miller and his sons Kelly and Dores, this traditional tented circus has seen the passing of over half of this past century and still offers the same great family entertainment it presented in its humble beginnings.
