RAHWAY – Rahway High School Juniors Cordellia Roberts-Blue and Arnelle Akapo were accepted into the Robert Wood Johnson Mini-Medical School for High School Students: Achieving Excellence in the Sciences. This one-day program will capture a day in the life of a medical student.
They will have the opportunity to interact with current medical students, learn medicine in an integrated fashion with anatomy, physiology and patient care together, hear about cutting edge research, go to the anatomy labs, practice clinical skills on standardized patients, and learn tips on preparing for a career in medicine and research.
Roberts-Blue has also been accepted and will attend Nursing Camp at Trinitas Regional Medical Center. During this five-day camp the students will learn the skills nurses do on a daily basis throughout different departments of the hospital.
