PERTH AMBOY — On Sunday, June 10 at 11:18 p.m., Perth Amboy police arrested five people who were allegedly involved in a robbery at the New Jersey Transit Train Station.

Perth Amboy residents Emmanuel Morales, 18 and Joshua Massey, 21, as well as three juvenile suspects whose names were not released because of their age, were arrested and charged with robbery and conspiracy.

When police arrived to investigate the reported assault, the group of suspects was seen running from the area where two victims were found. One victim was lying on the ground unresponsive when officers arrived.

The victims said that they were waiting for the southbound train to arrive when they were approached by a group of young men who began kicking and punching them. One victim was knocked to the ground and the suspects began searching his pant pockets.

Judge Emery Toth set bail for Morales and Massey at $10,000 with no 10 percent option.

The charges against the suspects are merely accusations. They are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
