Edison Announces Teen Programs/Activities For Summer 2012

EDISON – The Edison Recreation Department will offer programs and activities for Edison teens in middle and high school, beginning the week of June 25 through Aug. 24. The programs/activities include weight training, open basketball, watercolors & acrylics, sketching, drawing, painting & sculpting creations, drills and skills basketball, chess challenge, and creative craft design.

To participate in these classes, all teens must have a valid Edison Teen Center ID, which costs $10 per year valid July 1 through June 30, and must register for each class. Teen IDs are available at either of the community centers; Stelton Community Center, 328 Plainfield Avenue, and the Minnie B. Veal Community Center, 1070 Grove Avenue.

There will be an open house at both community centers on June 20 from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
