Powerball Jackpot Climbs To $177 Million

TRENTON – Though no one has won the Powerball jackpot since April 25, a Bergen County retailer sold a ticket worth $1 million for the Saturday, June 2, drawing. Tonight’s Powerball jackpot is worth up to $177 million.

The $1 million ticket, which matched all five numbers but not the red Powerball, was purchased at a 7-11 in Rivervale. New Jersey Lottery also had two lucky players win the Powerball $10,000 third prize for the Saturday, June 2 drawing. One ticket was sold at a Krauszer’s in East Windsor, while the other was purchased at a Quick Chek in Woodbridge.

According to New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger, 37,793 other New Jersey players took home $216,485 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200.

The winning numbers for the Saturday, June 2, drawing were: 09, 10, 17, 29, and 45. The Red Power Ball number was 33.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 175,223,510, and the odds of claiming any prize are 1 in 31.85.

Powerball drawings are held at 10:59 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
