Diocese Of Metuchen To Host Golf Outing To Benefit Catholic Charities

BEDMINSTER – The Diocese of Metuchen will host its 19th Annual Invitational Golf Classic on Wednesday, June 20 at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club, 811 Rattlesnake Bridge Road. Tee time is 10 a.m.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen, a non-profit social service agency dedicated to service, quality and outreach for members of the community, regardless of race or religion.

“Catholic Charities, Diocese of Metuchen is the largest provider of social services in New Jersey and the needs of the communities served by the organization continue to grow,” said Rev. Msgr. Sylvester J. Cronin, diocesan executive director of the Department of Stewardship and Development. “We are looking forward to a successful event and we encourage people in all parishes across Middlesex, Somerset, Hunterdon and Warren counties to come out to support this worthy cause.”

All are welcome to attend. The cost is $525 per golfer, which includes a continental breakfast, green fee, cart, on-course beverages, BBQ luncheon, locker room access and all gratuities. Also included is a cocktail reception from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. with premium open bar, hors d’voevres, bistro display, gourmet stations and dessert. Non-golfers are invited to attend the cocktail reception only for a fee of $150 per person.

There will be three Hole-in-One contests and various other skills contests. Prizes will be awarded during the reception and there will be a 50/50 raffle drawing.
