ROSELLE PARK – The Women’s Ministry of the Church of the Assumption is sponsoring the third annual “Unity in Prayer” gathering on June 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Michael J. Mauri Gazebo Park located on the corner of Chestnut Street and East Grant Avenue in Roselle Park.
Persons of all faiths are welcome to come for fellowship, prayer and worship. The ministry’s goal is to create community and encourage ecumenical unity through prayer. Organizers hope that this event will bring a measure of peace to all and allow participants to share one another’s burdens as they support each other and seek the grace and blessings of God. They hope this event will serve as a vehicle to encourage all persons to seek a closer relationship with God by showing love for their neighbor.
Rev. Archie Cummins, HEARD A.M.E. Church and Rev. Blessing Magomero, RUMC are scheduled to speak at the event. There will also be inspirational Christian music provided by DJ Carlos Roman of “Music in Live”.
Organizers encourage use of public transportation or carpooling (NJ Transit buses run on Westfield Avenue and Chestnut Street, and the Raritan Valley Line Roselle Park train station is five blocks away.)
