Union Library Announces June Kids Programs

UNION — The Children’s Department of the Union Public Library has scheduled the following programs at the Main Library during the month of June:

The Saturday Storytime and Craft program will be held on June 9 and 16 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

The Union Public Library, with the help of the Union High School Key Club, has started a Library Lego Club for children ages 5 through 12. This is an opportunity for kids to get creative and build anything they choose. The library will provide the Legos, while the kids provide the imagination! All materials must stay at the library so bring your camera to document your creations. The Lego Club will meet on Thursday, June 14, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Caregivers are asked to stay in the library and are welcome to assist. The library is also looking for donations of gently used or new Legos for this program. The Preschool Storytime and Craft program for preschoolers and their caregivers will be held on Monday, June 25 at 11 a.m. No registration required.

Come in your pajamas for songs, stories and games at Bedtime Storytime to be held on Monday, June 25 at 7 p.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

Musical Entertainers, Melody and Presley, will perform at the Library on Tuesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required. Don’t miss the fun.

Come and make a “Butterfly Wand” at the School-Age Craft program on Wednesday, June 27, at 11 a.m. This program is for children in grades 1 through 6. No registration required.

Color and Shape Bingo, for preschoolers and their caregivers, will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 11 a.m. No registration required.

Book Bingo, for children who can read well, will be held on Thursday, June 28, at 2 p.m. No registration required.

The “Dream Big: Read” Film Festival is on for Friday, June 29 at 11 a.m. The Disney film, “Alice in Wonderland” will be shown. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

A Preschool Father’s Day Craft Program will be held on Tuesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. Children, ages 4 – 5, and their caregivers are invited to attend. Space is limited. Signup is required.

A Father’s Day Craft Program for children in grades 3 through 6 will be held on Thursday, June 14 at 3:45 p.m. Space is limited. Signup is required.

Bedtime Storytime for children of all ages and their caregivers will be held on Monday, June 18 at 7 p.m. No registration required.

A Disney Movie Matinee showing will be held on Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. Children of all ages and their caregivers are invited to attend. No registration required.

A Fourth of July Storytime and Craft Program for preschoolers, ages 4 – 5, and their caregivers will be held on Tuesday, June 26 at 11 a.m. Space is limited. Signup is required.

A Fourth of July Craft program for children in grades 3 through 6 will be held on Thursday, June 28 at 3:45 p.m. Space is limited. Signup is required.
