History Comes To Life This Weekend In Princeton

PRINCETON — The Princeton Battlefield Society presents “Washington at Princeton” this weekend. On May 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day at the Princeton Battlefield Park, the Battle of Princeton will be commemorated.

Come see the re-enactors of the American Revolution present a portion of the Battle of Princeton featuring General George Washington. Both American and British units will portray the units that participated in the 1777 battle. Celebrate America’s history and take in the colorful grandeur of the 18th century. Citizens don’t have to go all the way to Virginia to learn about their national heritage.

The Revolutionary War started in Massachusetts and ended in Virginia, but Washington spent most of his time in New Jersey, the Crossroads of the Revolution.
